Compilation soundtrack as in the songs were written and performed by multiple artists and most weren’t written for the movie/show/game.
EDIT: No soundtracks longer than 2 CDs. You know who to blame for this
For me and my inner 90s child it’s hard to beat the soundtrack for The Crow.

Fair enough. I feel like there are some good movie choices, but I’m blanking on them at the moment.

It really is a great choice, though.

Wouldn’t watch either movie on a dare, but for covers I’m partial to the 50 First Dates soundtrack:
and the Me, Myself and Irene soundtrack:

The “Maiden Heaven” albums put out by Kerrang.
There’s two of them, all Iron Maiden covers. Awesome!

I figured that was a given. The movie is divisive, but the soundtrack to Blues Brothers 2000 is good too.

I feel like there was a LOT of cocaine involved in the making of that soundtrack.
I do agree that it and The Crow are among the greatest soundtracks ever.

I FORGOT ABOUT THAT ONE!

I’m not surprised. Steely Dan is one of those things where I can respect them as musicians, but I find them one little step beyond my smugness threshold, and I don’t much like their finished product. More than jazzy enough to turn into good rockabilly, just... odd.
